The air date for Joss’ episode of Austin City Limits has been set. So tune in to PBS on October 23 to see her perform! Also appearing during that episode is Michael McDonald.

“It’s a night of powerful voices as AUSTIN CITY LIMITS presents legendary singer Michael McDonald and up-and-coming soul diva Joss Stone. McDonald cultivated his signature sound with the Doobie Brothers in the 1970s and he continues to wow audiences today. At 17 years old, British-born Stone, with a soulful voice that is beyond her years, is impressing both fans and critics with her powerful songs.”

PARIS Aug 26 – The White Stripes, the Chemical Brothers, Muse and Joss Stone are to rock Paris this weekend when a new music festival started just a year ago opens its gates to top-notch bands.

Those bands are among 23 set to stir the normally tranquil and chic western suburb of Saint-Cloud during the two-day “Rock en Seine” event starting late Friday.

More than 35,000 people have already snapped up tickets (36 euros for one day, 60 euros for the two) for the performances, which are to take place in a park next to woodland on the river Seine, organisers said.

Other bands playing include a number of US and British groups with solid fan bases, among them: Sonic Youth, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Muse, Hoggboy and Blanche. – AFP
