Joss will be performing on the Today Show’s “Toyota Summer Concert Series” early tomorrow morning! The show is from 7-10AM on NBC, so be sure to tune in! David Bowie, Destiny’s Child, Duran Duran, Gwen Stefani, Joss Stone and Tim McGraw will perform at the Fashion Rocks concert at Radio City Music Hall on Sept. 8, to kick off New York Fashion Week. Alicia Keys, Nelly, Rob Thomas, Shakira, Billy Idol and The Arcade Fire are also set to appear, the Conde Nast Media Group announced Monday. CBS will air a two-hour “Fashion Rocks” special on Sept. 9 (9 p.m. EST). The announcement said it will be the last televised appearance of Destiny’s Child, who have announced plans to disband after their tour ends. New York Fashion Week will run Sept. 9-16. The Society of Singers Sets Lineup for Presentation of ELLA Award to Elton JohnPosted by admin in NewsEric McCormack, Joss Stone, k.d. lang, LeAnn Rimes, Lulu, Ruth Brown and Smokey Robinson will be among the performers at the Society of Singers’ (SOS) presentation of the 14th annual ELLA Award to Elton John at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on October 10, 2005. Tickets are priced at $600, $900, $1,250 and $2,500, with all proceeds to benefit the non-profit Society of Singers. Since opening in 1969, Gap has always integrated music into their jeans commercials. Now their fall 2005 marketing campaign hopes to continue this tradition. It will first feature the iTunes Music Store. Customers that head into Gap stores from August 8-31, will receive one free download from the iTunes Music Store online for trying on a pair of their new jeans. The second phase of Gap’s jeans campaign will incorporate a star-studded line-up of artists to feature songs recorded exclusively for Gap. It features Alanis Morissette, Joss Stone, John Legend, Michelle Williams, Jason Mraz, Keith Urban, Brandon Boyd of Incubus and Liz Phair. Each artist will be performing covers of their favorite artists, with Stone taking on The Beach Boys, Boyd covering Elvis Costello and Williams singing an Al Green tune, all to coincide with their “favorite fit of jeans.” Customers will be able to obtain a limited edition CD featuring these artists from September 1-17 when they make a purchase of $60 or more at Gap stores or at Gap.com.
