Joss Stone was relieved that her role in steamy US drama The Tudors didn’t involve a sex scene.

“There’s no sex and that is a good thing,” she tells Entertainment Tonight. “Thank God. I’d be very shy and very embarrassed about the whole thing to be honest – and quite nervous.”

Joss plays Henry VIII (Jonathan Rhys Meyer) fourth wife Anne of Cleves in the US drama series to be shown on American screens next year.

“I haven’t got a sex scene because they don’t have sex,” she says. “They never consummate the marriage which is why it’s easy for him to turn around and say, go away, here’s some money, here’s a house, because we never consummate the marriage and I can vouch for that.”

But fans tuning in to hear Joss singing will be disappointed – she reveals she’ll just be concentrating on acting in the drama.

“I don’t think Henry VIII deserves me singing to him,” she says. “Because he wasn’t very nice. I’m not going to sing to him.”

Remember Joss’ cover of “L-O-V-E” that was used in Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle fragrance ad campaign last year? Well, it’s back!

I was watching TV tonight and heard Joss’ beautiful voice. I looked up to see Keira Knightley in the Chanel commercial.

Not much of an update, but it’s always nice to get to listen to Joss; if only for a few seconds!

Joss Stone is amongst the performers at the 2008 edition of the Kennedy Center Honors, which taped last night. The annual special honors those who have left big marks on the arts and entertainment industry.

Joss performed ‘The Who’ hit “My Generation” in front of group members Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey. And yes, Joss performed barefoot. Wouldn’t have it any other way!

The show will air Dec. 30 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. Don’t miss it!

Joss Stone has claimed that her songs could never match up to the music created by her idols in the 60s.

The 21-year-old singer admitted that she gets annoyed when the current batch of soul stars are compared to their predecessors.

“Amy, myself, Adele, Lily – we’re all very different but we all love 60s soul music and 50s and 70s,” Stone told the Daily Star. “But it’s not 60s soul music we make today and it never will be. Acts today will never record like those artists did.”

She added: “We’re nodding our hats and saying thank you to the Dusty Springfields and Gladys Knights. It’s a shame people are putting us in the same category ‘cos the 15-year-olds who’ve never taken the time to discover that music won’t bother.”

The star also revealed that she has made a conscious decision to avoid keeping up with the latest news in the music industry.

“I don’t watch TV or listen to the radio or know what’s going on in music,” she explained. “I have a little projector that I watch DVDs on, lots of Family Guy. That’s all you need – the rest is propaganda.”

About time, huh? I moved the site completely over to WordPress. It’s just easier to manage a site that way, so I’m a convert!

Also, I loved Joss in this Herve Leger dress. It suits her; funky and fresh! So I thought I’d use all those colors in this simple design.

The rest of the site content is coming, so stay tuned!
