Here’s a little bit more about her performance:

Joss Stone performed with her full band, gracing the audience with a beautiful cover of ‘No Woman, No Cry.’ Before the final song of her encore, the soul singer went backstage and came out with a dozen white roses, which she tossed into the crowd.

In my online searches, I stumbled upon a US performance date for Joss in Oklahoma on October 10th. When I found it, everything was TBA. Well, now some more details have surfaced and it sounds like a cool event!

October 10th is the date for the inaugural River Rush, featuring Runs & River Activity Expo, Gala, and Concert in Tulsa, OK. Aimed to put the spotlight on available activities along Arkansas River, the event features a 5k run and a fun 1k family run/walk. It will “showcase the many facets of outdoor recreation and entertainment in River Parks, ranging from sports activities to festivals.”

Tickets go on sale Saturday at noon, according to the event . You’ll be able to purchase them via Tickets.com.

Since she can’t do anything these days except perform, Joss Stone is expanding her tour schedule to include a couple of US dates…FINALLY! Right now there are only 2, but I now expect there to be more in the future.

Her new gigs include dates in Slovenia, Oklahoma, and New Jersery. Check out the tour page for more details.

And she should know that her fans are just as mad!

We’ve known for a while that Joss has been at war with her label, EMI, for continuing to delay her album, Colour Me Free. It was initially supposed to be released in April (2009). Then the date was pushed to July. It is now August and we don’t even have a 1st single announcement or anything!

Here’s what she told the Daily Star about her upcoming participation in the O2 Rockwell 2009 charity concert:

“I’ll sing some of my new songs. They’re just jams and I love them. They were recorded about two years ago but I have been in a war with my label. I’m just going to sing anyway and if they would like to turn out my album one day that would be nice. Maybe they’re trying to shut me up but good luck because they’ve picked the wrong girl.”

You tell ‘em, Joss!

Although, I wish she’d do some gigs stateside so we can hear her new material while we continue to wait.
