We got a little bit of Joss news this past week, as we learned of her involvement with the James Bond video game, Blood Stone. I thought that would tide me over for a while, but there’s more!

We all know Joss’ anthem of record label issues was put to music in “Free Me”. Well, it looks like she’s gotten her wish! In a new interview with This Is Exeter. Here’s the update:

After an on-going struggle with her former record label, EMI, Joss has finally ended her contract with it. “I am free now and it is a real weight lifted off my shoulders,” she said. “I feel I can start afresh. I haven’t got a new album planned yet — I will do one when it feels right. I’m writing songs all the time, though.”

Very happy for Joss! Can’t wait to see what she comes up with next! Hopefully we don’t have to wait too long for a new album, though!

Various reports, that have now been confirmed, have our very own Miss Joss Stone voicing a character in the new James Bond video game, James Bond 007: Blood Stone. Joss’ “character” in the game is Nicole Hunter.

A (Joss) Stone likeness will appear in the game (for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC), and she’ll be right there alongside Bond himself, actor Daniel Craig, and Judi Dench (as M), both of whom are reprising their film roles in the game. The singer will also record an original song that she wrote with Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics titled “I’ll Take It All.”

Joss told Radio 1′s Newsbeat the following:

“It’s cool isn’t it? I’m just gonna throw that out there every 5 minutes in conversation. Did you know that I’m a Bond girl?”

CUTE!

Sounds good!
