Due to the rain in the forecast for the Tulsa, OK area this weekend, the River Rush gala and concert, where Joss is set to perform, will now take place at the BOK Center.
Joss Stone is continuing to promote her new single “Free Me” and upcoming release Colour Me Free on American TV. She was set to appear on Last Call w/ Carson Daly last week. I’m not sure what happened, but that never aired here in my market. Don’t know if that was just a pre-tape, but she’s due for a performance on Carson’s show this Thursday, October 8. It airs weeknights at 1:36 AM on NBC. (The show actually airs Friday, since it is late night, but it is for the Thursday show) I found another performance which will take Joss to New York City to perform on Live w/ Regis & Kelly. That appearance is also Friday morning. Since Carson Daly tapes in Los Angeles now, she either pre-taped or is taking a red eye flight! In any case, those are 2 new performances to keep an eye out for. Hopefully they air this time and I don’t feel so crazy! Don’t forget to Hello all! Just wanted to let everyone know that I created a Twitter account for Joss-Stone.net! I’ve been using it for a week now, but forgot to make a post about it! Oops! So, be sure to check it out and follow me! “Free Me” “Big Ole Game” (snippet) Joss performed twice on last night’s Dancing With the Stars Results Show. She did her debut TV performance of “Free Me” as well as a cover of “Son of a Preacher Man” later on in the show. Watch the video below! “Free Me” “Son of a Preacher Man” British soul singer and songwriter Joss Stone will release her fourth studio album, entitled Colour Me Free, on October 20th on Virgin Records. The physical CD will be available exclusively from retail chain Target in the U.S., while the digital version will be sold exclusively through iTunes. The first single from the album is “Free Me.” The album will be released on November 2nd outside of North America. Stone wrote and recorded Colour Me Free at Mama Stone’s, the live music venue that her mother runs in Wellington, England. She co-produced the album herself, along with producer/songwriters Jonathan Shorten and Conner Reeves, who also worked on Stone’s 2004 platinum-certified album, Mind, Body & Soul. “I woke up one morning and wanted to make an album,” Stone says. “It’s very, very raw — basically a bunch of musicians, writers, and myself just jamming. The album was not dictated or forced. It was an organic process where each musician was given the freedom to create their sound. It’s an honest and accurate representation of where I am as an artist and person right now. I am really proud of the music and excited to have people hear the songs.” Read the rest… » In addition to the new American TV dates I just posted, there is now another!
