It’s official! Joss Stone’s 4th studio album, Colour Me Free, sold 27,000 copies in its first week of release (US only) to debut at #10 on the Billboard charts.
As I mentioned on Twitter, that’s pretty good for an album that was only available at iTunes and Target with very little album promo. I mean, she did a handful of shows right when “Free Me” was released, and that’s it. We, as fans, can only imagine how much more successful the album would have been with a proper push from Virgin/EMI.
The Twilight Saga: New Moon took the top spot, moving 153,000 copies in its second week on the chart.
